Who we are

Energy Control has been developed by PROLA Automation AG since 2019 and integrated into buildings. In 2025, ENERGYControl AG was founded and acquired all rights to Energy Control. Since then, the number of our integrators and partners has been growing steadily.

Our Journey

1985

Prola AG

Prola AG is founded and develops into a Siemens system integrator in industrial automation, known for its consistently innovative approaches and high quality standards.

2015

Company Acquisition

Prola AG is acquired through a management buyout by three employees: Markus Reich, Lukas Bärtschi, and Patrick Venzin now lead Prola AG.

2019

Launch of Energy Control

We decide to establish a second business area alongside industrial automation and begin developing an energy management system.

2025

Founding of ENERGYControl AG

Meanwhile, we have commissioned 70 energy management systems and another 80 ZEV meter reading systems for ewz (Elektrizitätswerk der Stadt Zürich). We decide to make Energy Control an independent entity and found ENERGYControl AG.

2026

Optivice.energy & Eponet

Energy Control and the two cloud technology specialists Optivice.energy and Eponet are merging their systems into a single, powerful system to offer one of the most comprehensive energy and load management systems. The new system, named "Energy Control featured by Optivice & Eponet", will be presented to the public for the first time at the Intersolar trade fair in Munich.
